Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Ashfield now have a Exciting Grant Opportunity to access funding through a new enterprise grant scheme designed to support business growth, training initiatives, and productivity. If your business has fewer than 249 employees, this grant could help you expand your offerings, invest in specialist training, or strengthen your workforce.
Eligible businesses can apply for grants ranging from £3,000 to £10,000, covering up to 75% of project costs. This funding can be used for various business improvement initiatives, including:
- Capital investments to enhance productivity and efficiency
- Professional consultancy services
- Specialist training and accreditations
- Support for accessing new markets, supply chains, or expanding operations
Additionally, Ashfield District Council has confirmed that the grant can be used to cover the cost of MABN memberships, making it an excellent resource for businesses looking to strengthen their professional networks.
To qualify, applications must be submitted for new projects only. Unfortunately, projects that are already underway, agreed upon, or previously paid for will not be eligible for funding.
The deadline to apply is 31st October 2025, and all awarded projects must be completed within three months of accepting the grant, or by 31st January 2026 at the latest.
The application guidance is straightforward, making the process simple for interested businesses. If you work with any Ashfield-based SMEs, be sure to spread the word.
