Vic’s Journey: From Corporate Life to Marketing Pioneer
Vic’s journey (after 10 years in corporate) began in 2014 as a freelance marketer, a career path only 2% of university graduates are encouraged or supported to pursue. As her business grew into a marketing agency, she worked with a wide range of clients in the UK and abroad, her reputation and success flourished. However, during the COVID-19 pandemic, Vic lost 95% of clients in a week and was forced to reassess her business model. She began helping other businesses manage their own marketing via online courses, a pivotal moment that shifted the focus of her company.
A Pandemic Pivot Turning Setbacks into Success
Since then, Touchpoints Marketing has gone from strength to strength. Vic now leads a growing team of six, and the company is involved in several exciting projects, such as Your Path to Profit, Marketing Mavericks and Six-Figure Niche (more information to come on these). She also hosts a podcast alongside Sales Expert Leisa Pickles, offering valuable insights to fellow professionals.
Supporting Future Marketers Through Strategic Innovation
Although Vic no longer creates marketing content directly for businesses, her focus in on the strategic thinking instead. Her commitment to supporting businesses and individuals remains strong. She founded Marketing Mavericks, a program that partners with universities to guide graduates in their freelancing careers. Through this initiative, graduates like Maddie and Tuula have been able to create cost-effective marketing materials, such as social media templates and a new website for the Mansfield and Ashfield Business Network.

In the years since Touchpoints Marketing was founded, the company has come full circle. Vic’s unparalleled support for both businesses and graduates underscores her dedication to the industry. This commitment was recognized in 2022 when Vic was awarded Marketer of the Year. This year, she has once again been nominated and is currently among the top 6 finalists across the UK and Ireland for Marketing Strategy of the Year with Enterprise Nation.
