November Business Spotlight: Actifire Limited
At Actifire Limited, we care about helping people and businesses stay safe and compliant when it comes to fire safety. Since launching in October 2023, we have been fortunate to work with a wide range of clients that trust us to look after their fire protection needs.
Actifire started from a simple idea: making reliable fire safety services accessible to everyone. Owners Sarah Armson and Kieran Percival founded the business while working full-time jobs, building Actifire during evenings and weekends around their families. With six children between their two households, taking the brave decision to go full time required immense determination, supported by their partners every step of the way. That support allowed Actifire to grow rapidly over the past twelve months.
After years in the industry, we saw a significant gap in the market for a one-stop shop where customers could access clear information about what they truly need to remain compliant. Actifire was built to do things differently, with honesty, fair pricing, and a strong community focus at the core of our service.
Our first customer was Cadbury World, and their confidence in our services led to a personal recommendation to Warwick Castle, which is now our largest client with more than 1,000 fire extinguishers on site. Alongside this, we continue to work with smaller local businesses including factories, beauty salons, garages, and even a tattoo parlour. During our first two years of trading, every single customer has renewed with us, demonstrating that our business is going from strength to strength. We support a wide range of clients and regardless of the setting, our aim remains the same: to make fire safety straightforward and dependable.
Based in Sutton-in-Ashfield, we work with homes, businesses, and organisations across Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire, and beyond, helping them protect people, property, and peace of mind.

Fire safety is not only about equipment. It is about trust. We take time to explain what we are doing and why, so our customers feel fully informed and confident about their safety measures. Transparency, clear communication, and doing the job correctly matter to us, even when that means giving advice that might be unexpected.
It is surprising how many families and businesses never fully consider fire safety. Sarah is always happy to sit down over a cup of tea to discuss fire safety needs without obligation, because Actifire is all about people, safety, and reassurance. Even the smallest fire can have the biggest impact, and your home and workplace should always feel safe.
As part of the local business community, we are proud members of the Mansfield & Ashfield Business Network (MABN) and were finalists for the 2025 MABN Business Awards in the New Business category.
We are pleased to offer fellow members free servicing for up to ten fire extinguishers (excluding replacements).
We also enjoy getting involved in local events, from safety awareness days to community fun days such as the Teversal Visitors Centre. These activities let people try extinguishers, explore escape routes, and learn how simple actions can make a big difference. Seeing people of all ages engage reminds us why Actifire began in the first place.
The past year has been incredibly busy, including setting up our own premises and receiving recognition for our efforts. Our focus moving forward is continued growth while staying true to what matters most, providing honest, reliable, community-focused fire safety services.
