Finance Unframed: The Finance Session With a Difference
For many managers, finance can feel like a language they were never fully taught. Yet understanding the financial impact of everyday decisions is key to leading teams and contributing to business performance.
Finance Unframed is a new workshop designed to help managers build confidence in this area. Taking place on 21st May 2026 at the Dryden Centre in Nottingham, the session offers a practical introduction to the financial concepts that many managers encounter in their roles.
The workshop focuses on the essentials, including profit, margin, cash flow and variance, and breaks them down using simple explanations and real numerical examples. The aim is not to train accountants, but to help managers understand how their decisions influence the financial health of the business.
Finance Unframed is aimed at middle managers who oversee budgets or contribute to business decisions, as well as employees preparing to step into management roles. The session also provides a relaxed environment where delegates can ask questions and develop confidence in financial conversations.
What makes the workshop different is its creative element. Delegates will use a simple painting activity to help embed their learning – an approach designed to improve engagement, reflection and long-term understanding.
The May session is being offered as a pilot, with 10 places available at a reduced rate of £100 per person.
