Mansfield Building Society launches “Excellent” Regular Saver
Mansfield Building Society has launched a new My Milestone Saver rated as “Excellent” by independent money monitor Moneyfacts.
The regular savings account offers a variable rate of 6% for the first 12 months, reverting to 3.25% afterwards.
The product is particularly aimed at people wanting to save for something special – such as a holiday, wedding or car for example. The product allows monthly deposits of up to £500 and one withdrawal in the first 12 months.
The savings product can be opened by post or in any of the Society’s branches with the application form available to download from the Society’s website.
Commercial Development Executive, Richard Crisp, said the Society was particularly keen to encourage aspiring savers to get into the savings habit:

Our new My Milestone Saver pays a rewarding rate of interest at 6.00%, meaning the interest earned can make a real difference. For example, if someone saves £250 a month for a year, they could earn nearly £100 in interest*.

*Based on monthly deposits of £250 from 1 January for 12 months, the total deposit amount of £3,000 would earn £97.89 in interest on 31 December.
