As part of Ashfield District Council’s allocation of the UK Shared Prosperity Fund (UKSPF), we have  introduced a new economic development programme – Ashfield GradBoost. The programme runs  from July 2024 – March 2025 and aims to equip businesses with the skills and knowledge to attract,  select, train and retain local graduates.

The support is open to any business with an Ashfield postcode. Eligible postcodes are available to view here: ADC Postcodes.csv

What does my business receive?

Whether you’re new to recruiting graduates, considering whether graduates are the right type of talent for your business, or adept graduate recruiters looking to take your practice to the next level, Ashfield GradBoost for businesses can help. You will receive: 

• • Free consultancy with a graduate recruitment and development expert: We’ll provide you with expert guidance about how to attract, recruit and develop the right Ashfield graduates for your business, including information about the graduate labour market, from salaries, skills shortages, advertising to course information.  

• • Toolkits, webinars and resources: You’ll receive bespoke toolkits, templates and webinars that you can use in your business to support your graduate recruitment and training efforts, including links and connections to universities in the East Midlands.  

• • Marketing of your vacancies to Ashfield graduates: We can support the marketing of your vacancy to Ashfield-based graduates through our graduate support programmes.  

• • Coaching and development: We offer one-to-one support for your recently employed graduates.
