At Jerry Green Dog Rescue, we find safe and loving homes for dogs in need. Every day, we care for dogs who’ve been abandoned, neglected, or mistreated, offering them safety, compassion, and hope. Our mission is at the heart of everything we do: we exist to find safe, loving homes for dogs, and to support people to give their dogs as good a life as possible. We firmly believe that every dog is unique and worth fighting for. For more than 60 years, we’ve supported dogs and the people who love them across our centres. Each dog receives tailored behavioural support, veterinary care, enrichment, and one-to-one time with our dedicated team.
Our Nottinghamshire Centre: A Hub of Care, Community and Compassion
Our Nottinghamshire Centre in Blidworth plays a vital role in helping dogs on their journey to a forever home. Set in spacious, peaceful surroundings, it offers an environment where rescue dogs can recover, grow, and build confidence at their own pace. But it’s also a place where the community can come together to support our mission in uplifting and practical ways.
Paddock Hire – Space to Play, Train and Relax
The centre offers secure paddock hire, giving local dog owners access to a safe, enclosed space where their dogs can run freely, practise recall, or simply enjoy stress-free exercise. Every booking helps fund the care of rescue dogs and supports the centre’s day-to-day work.
Boarding – Peace of Mind for Owners Whilst Supporting Rescue Dogs
Our boarding facilities allow owners to leave their dogs in trusted, experienced hands while they’re away. With staff trained in canine welfare and behaviour, dogs enjoy personalised care and enrichment. Boarding fees are reinvested directly into caring for the rescue dogs at our centre, creating a service that benefits both guests and those still waiting for homes.
Woofing Walkies – Walk Together, Change Lives
Our popular Woofing Walkies events bring dog lovers from across the region together for group walks celebrating companionship, exercise, and community spirit. These events help raise essential funds and awareness, ensuring more dogs get the second chance they deserve.
